The Canvas Bag | The Island

As we move away from single-use plastics, having a reliable, reusable bag is more important than ever. This canvas shopper was made with everyday life in mind — from long handles that comfortably hang over your shoulder, to a gusseted bottom that fits all the things you need, big or small. Plus, it’s washable without shrinking, so it stays with you for the long haul.

The Story Behind the Stamp

We carved the first Vancouver Island stamp from a Douglas Fir tree round, shaping the wood to match the island’s outline exactly.

After only a few uses, it broke during a heavy stamping night. Instead of starting fresh immediately (since carving takes hours), we pushed through and kept using the broken stamp for months.

Eventually, we were told the island was upside down — a tough but motivating moment that pushed us to do it right.

This time, with help from Kevin, a skilled member of our Mossy Posse, we hand-carved a new stamp from a solid Douglas Fir round. Every detail was carefully shaped to bring the island to life — a process of patience and teamwork, just like the rugged coastlines that inspire us.
